Built for the North!
Polar Barren was built on experience, grit, and a deep respect for the North.
For over 25 years, we’ve worked in every province and territory across Canada, specializing in hazardous waste removal, scrap metal recovery, remote cleanup, vehicle crushing, and large-scale metal removals. From isolated communities to fly-in job sites, we’ve handled the work others can’t — or won’t.
The North presents unique challenges. Limited access. Harsh weather. Tight timelines. Critical logistics. We understand it — because we’ve lived it.
Over the years, we recognized a growing need beyond cleanup. Remote communities often struggle to access equipment, parts, and supplies. That’s where our hot shot service comes in. We source materials from southern cities and coordinate delivery directly to northern airports and remote locations — efficiently and reliably. When you’re stuck in the North, we move fast.
Our name reflects who we are.
Polar represents the polar regions we serve — the strength, resilience, and clarity of the northern landscape.
Barren comes from the historic northern lands often referred to as the barrens — inspired by the book" Lost in the Barrens" by Farley Mowat, a story that sparked a lifelong connection to the North. Years later, we’re no longer reading about the barrens — we’re working in them.
Our vision is simple:
Protect the North.
Serve its people.
Remove what doesn’t belong.
We believe in keeping northern lands clean, pure, and respected — while providing dependable service to the industries and communities that call it home.
Polar Barren isn’t just a company.
It’s a commitment to the North.
